Shipping address — to deliver your sign
Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider; we never store card details
Sign specifications — name, font, material, finish, size, any custom notes
Order tracking queries — order number and email, used only to retrieve your order status

We do not collect data beyond what is needed to fulfil your order. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Data

To manufacture and ship your sign
To send your design proof and any revision requests
To provide order status via our tracking system
To contact you about your order if we have a question
To handle any warranty or returns claims

We will not send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Data Storage & Security

Order data is stored securely in Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant cloud database. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security. We do not store card numbers or CVV codes.

We apply 256-bit SSL encryption to all data transmitted through our website. Your connection to yachtsignshop.com is always secure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate our business:

Netlify — website hosting (US-based)
Supabase — order database (US-based, SOC 2)
Google Fonts — font rendering (no personal data shared)
Shipping carriers — UPS, FedEx, or USPS to fulfil deliveries

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of any inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

We retain order data for 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements. After this period, personal data is deleted. If you request earlier deletion, we will remove all data not required for legal compliance.
