Every sign we make is custom-built to your specification. If it arrives damaged, defective, or different from the approved proof — we will remake it or refund you in full, no questions asked. This guarantee has no time limit on manufacturing defects.
What's Covered
Manufacturing Defects
Any defect in CNC cutting, finishing, or LED wiring that wasn't present in the approved proof. Full remake or refund.
Shipping Damage
If your sign arrives damaged in transit, photograph it immediately and contact us. We'll ship a replacement at no cost within 5 business days.
Proof Discrepancies
If the finished sign differs materially from what you approved in the proof, we'll remake it to match exactly.
LED Failure
LED strips and controllers are covered for 2 years. If they fail under normal use, we'll send replacement parts free of charge.
Change of Mind Returns
Because every sign is made to order, we're unable to accept returns for change of mind once production has started. This is why we invest so much in the proofing process — we want you to be completely certain before we cut anything.
If you're unsure about any aspect of your order, please contact us before approving the proof. We'd rather spend an extra day on revisions than have you receive something you're not thrilled with.
How to Make a Claim

Photograph the Issue
Take clear photos of the problem — close-up and from a distance. Include the sign in its packaging if relevant.

Email Us
Send photos and your order number to returns@yachtsignshop.com. You'll receive a response within 1 business day.

We Resolve It
We'll arrange a remake, replacement part, or full refund — whichever you prefer. No return shipping required for defective items.
How long do I have to report a defect?
There's no formal time limit for genuine manufacturing defects — if a weld fails or a finish delaminates after 3 years, we'll still cover it. For shipping damage, we ask you to report it within 7 days of delivery.
Do I need to return the sign to get a refund?
No. For defective or damaged items, we don't ask you to ship anything back. Just photos and your order number are sufficient.
Can I cancel after placing an order?
Yes, if you cancel before the proof is approved and production has started — full refund within 2 business days. After production begins, we're unable to cancel but can still resolve any issues with the finished product.
What if I made a mistake in my order?
Typos in the boat name, wrong size selected — contact us as soon as you notice and before approving the proof. Changes after proof approval may require a new order depending on scope.
